A tour of Normandy's towns
This was not our first time in Paris, and we had booked tours in advance to see sights we hadn't visited yet. But as it happened, they were simply cancelled at the last minute. And we really wanted to see Normandy. Of course, we wouldn't have been able to see anything if we hadn't remembered that, just before our trip, someone had recommended we contact K&V France. We were pleasantly surprised by how responsive, friendly and decent Kirill turned out to be. To arrange, after a call in the evening, once the working day was already over, for a spotlessly clean top-class car to be at our hotel at 8 in the morning for a full-day trip to Normandy, despite whatever else they might have had on, speaks of the high professionalism of these people.
During the trip we visited an unplanned spot, the Impressionists' village of Giverny in Upper Normandy. We were able to see Claude Monet's garden and house. Next came Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy... Rouen Cathedral, houses built centuries ago from sand and clay... the chance to touch a little piece of the history of Joan of Arc... And the most delicious ice cream and fruit jellies from the confectioners of a small factory named after her.
Our next stop was Lower Normandy: Trouville, with its simply fairy-tale old architecture and the most delicious lobster, prawns and mussels, all of course twice as delicious with French wine. And Deauville... the resort of the Parisian elite. Towards evening, the seaport of Honfleur. An amazing variety of yachts in the harbour and a beautiful waterfront... The town still has the medieval Church of St Stephen and the 15th-century wooden Church of St Catherine. One could, of course, talk about the beauty of Normandy for a long time... but it's better to see it at least once!..... Thank you so very much, Kirill, for a wonderful day that will stay in our memory forever! For creating such a company and doing what YOU do!!! We had a clear task, and from you we got a clear solution. On our next visit to France we will definitely visit Provence with your company!
